Hideki Matsuyama won a playoff with Mark Hubbard to clinch the opening tournament of the 2022 season. Matsuyama hit a 69 in his final round and finished on 16 under par. Mark Hubbard had 2 fantastic final rounds, hitting 66 in each to draw level with Matsuyama on the final hole. Taylor Moore almost forced a 3 way playoff after hitting an amazing 65 but finished 1 stroke behind the leaders.
Matsuyama managed to par the first playoff hole but Hubbard missed a long putt and ended up with a bogey, handing the win to Matsuyama.
In just over a weeks time, we off to the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi
