This Lahore Test between Rest of the World and India was 1 of fluctuating fortunes.
India were reduced to 59-5 on day 1 before recovering to 210 (Rahul 85 off 116 balls), in which quicks Shah and Nortje impressed with 3 wickets apiece.
Rest of the World made good use of the lovely batting pitch to gain a 1st innings lead of 177. Shakib played a beautiful knock of 106, willingly supported by Chandimal's 75 and Kusal Mendis (58). The playing surface seemed to be getting flatter and India's response over the next 2 days was awesome, making 511-3d. Rahul impressed again with 88, Shreyas Iyer made an untroubled 102 not out, but the stand out innings came from skipper Rohit Sharma. His monumental 251no touched perfection and nearly turned the game upside down. Needing 335 to win or more realistically bat out the last day, Bavuma's side did so relatively comfortably. Shakib again stood out with his unbeaten 80. It was a pitch for batsmen and Rohit was deserve man of the match.
