New Zealand remain without a point in Group K as they lost at home to the Rest of the World.
Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to make best use of the conditions and the World XI did exactly that. Dinesh Chandimal hit his 2nd century of the group stage, making an unbeaten 263 that propelled his side to 490 all out. Shakib Al Hasan made 95 in a 200 run stand with Chandimal that would set up the World XI's win.
Bavuma's pace attack is one of the best in the group and Nortje and Rabada tore through New Zealands lineup. They slumped to 62-3 before eventually falling to 222 all out. Skipper Ross Taylor made a stubborn 53, while Nortje and Rabada shared 3 wickets apiece.
Bavuma enforced the follow on and must have looked for an early finish as the Kiwis slipped to 73-2. Devon Conway and Henry Nicholls had other ideas however and shared a brilliant stand of 186 for the 3rd wicket. Both men made centuries and it looked as though New Zealand may take the game into Day 5, albeit with a slim chance of a draw.
That chance was blunted in the final hour of day 4 however, as both men fell and New Zealand ended the day on 281-5. They were finally dismissed for 352, with Kagiso Rabada taking a brilliant 8 for 61 (ending the game with 11 wickets).
The Rest of the World needed just 87 to win and they reached their target for the loss of just 3 wickets on a pitch that was now exhibiting very variable bounce.
A 7 wicket win for the World XI has revitalised their hopes of qualification, with Chandimal deservedly earning the man of the match award.

Round 4 sees two more fascinating matchups. New Zealand are virtually eliminated from this group. They have a very slim chance of moving forward and need to beat England at Headingley, then Australia at home and still have other results to go their way. The second game of the round sees the Rest of the World face Australia at Johannesburg. Both teams also must win for a chance at qualification.
